(a)
Each system must include a central directory of information about—
(1)
Public and private early intervention services, resources, and experts available in the State;
(2)
Research and demonstration projects being conducted in the State; and
(3)
Professional and other groups that provide assistance to children eligible under this part and their families.
(b)
The information required in paragraph (a) of this section must be in sufficient detail to—
(1)
Ensure that the general public will be able to determine the nature and scope of the services and assistance available from each of the sources listed in the directory; and
(2)
Enable the parent of a child eligible under this part to contact, by telephone or letter, any of the sources listed in the directory.
(c)
The central directory must be—
(1)
Updated at least annually; and
(2)
Accessible to the general public.
(d)
To meet the requirements in paragraph (c)(2) of this section, the lead agency shall arrange for copies of the directory to be available—
(1)
In each geographic region of the State, including rural areas; and
(2)
In places and a manner that ensure accessibility by persons with disabilities.
