1.30—Application to system of records maintained by Government contractors.
When a component contracts for the operation of a system of records, to accomplish
a Departmental function, the provisions of the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. 552a, and this
subpart shall be applicable to such system. The component shall have responsibility
for insuring that the contractor complies with the contract requirements relating to
privacy.
